The Tax Administration/Collection Offices:
The main tax administration/collection office is the DGI (Direction Générale des Impôts- HAITI's equivalent to the United States Internal Revenue Service or IRS). DGI is a public institution in charge of collecting taxes. It is under the control of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Ministère de L'Economie et des Finances). The director general is Mr. Jean Frantz Richard.
